The neutral bedroom trend is still one of my all-time favorites. It's so soothing and relaxing, and there's so much you can do outside of white and ivory.
In this neutral bohemian nursery, we ended up using a fair amount of color, but it still looks neutral overall.
This room has high ceilings and large windows, so we had plenty of natural light to work with. We started by using modern wallpaper in a subtle pattern that wouldn't overwhelm the space.
After much deliberation, we have landed on the Delicate Herringbone wallpaper - love the way it came out!
Then we had to choose the bedroom furniture.I had already seen a light wood crib that I loved, so we paired it with the coordinating changing table . The light wood gives a rustic bohemian feel even though its shape is modern, it fits perfectly in the house. The skate is a more traditional style, which helps to balance the modern crib, and the soft gray fabric matches the gray of the wallpaper perfectly.
Due to the high ceilings, we opted for custom blackout curtains to really make the room stylish. If you look closely, you'll see we've used mixed metals for the hardware ! The grommets on the curtains are black (to balance out the little touches of black in the room), and the rods are gold to add warmth. There are also blinds transparencies underneath for optimum flexibility.
On the opposite wall we used the light wood changing table and tray and added a cute little animal themed mirror above. Although the wall the crib was big, there were two doors on the dresser wall, so we didn't have too much space here. I love dried flowers, so we added palm leaves and dried pampas to give the room that bohemian vibe.
One of my favorite parts of this bedroom is the large neutral rug. It's super soft and cozy and adds so much texture to the overall design.
We also added a faux skin of sheep in the corner for even more texture (and it's just the softest thing ever!). And of course there's lots of greenery. I believe Lots of plants for the bedroom, real or fake! Both of these are fake because they require no maintenance.
The dried floral piece above the crib was inspired by the flowers I used at my baby shower.I had saved it, but it was too small, so I had my florist create a similar large piece to fit above the crib. It has the same gorgeous earthy colors that coordinate with the rust-colored crib sheet and pillow mustard yellow.
